Sarasota is a Great Choice
Sarasota, Florida has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Any property on the west side of Sarasota County is a beach. If you would like to live on the beach there are thousands of Sarasota, Florida homes and condos to choose from. Waterfront Sarasota real estate is a real bargin right now. Anywhere you decide to make home sweet home is only a few minutes drive to several county owned beaches. I will miss a few but Sarasota has Lido Beach and South Lido Park Beach and of course world famous, Siesta Key Beach that is part of Crescent Beach which is north of Turtle Beach. If drive a few minutes south (or just keep walking south down the beach) you will find Casey Key then Nokomis Beach which is next to Venice Beach and Casperson Beach. So where ever you buy your new home or condo in Sarasota, Florida you’ll be on or close to “the beach’’. You can get there from here Anywhere you live in Sarasota, Florida is a great location because the it was laid out. The two main north / south highways are I-75 that borders the east side and US-41 that that borders the west side of Sarasota. If you purchase your new home in the southern part of the county, just jump on I-75 and you are anywhere in a few minutes. With 4 exits off I-75 in Sarasota and all of those east west roads connecting to US-41. (Envision a ladder) Navigating Sarasota is a very task. You can’t get lost driving west in this town unless you have a submarine… Sarasota has everything for every lifestyle. If you are really into Sports then this is a great area to buy your retirement home or condo. Sarasota has Baltimore Orioles Grape Fruit League baseball and many or the other MLB teams play within an hours drive. If you love Baseball and want to watch the pros play weekly or more check out the 2010 Grapefruit League Schedule. This should keep you busy for a few months. NFL football is a one hour drive on I-75 north to see the Super Bowl Champs, The Tampa Bay Buccaneers. NHL Stanley Cup Winners the Tampa Bay Lightening are also just an hour away at the St Pete Times Forum. Tropicana Field in St Petersburg, about 54 minutes away, is home to the MLB team The Tampa Bay Rays. Go Back to High School for Sports. Some of the best sporting events I personally like to attend that are in Sarasota and are very inexpensive are the local high school baseball and football teams. Riverview, Sarasota High and Venice High School all have the top state championship football and baseball teams and all are just be a few minutes drive from your new Sarasota home or condo. Location, Location, Location and Sarasota is in the center of the best that Florida has to offer. The Restaurants and shopping. Since Sarasota is populated by people from all over the US and the world, our restaurants and local shops reflect this diversity. Downtown Sarasota and St Armands Circles is bursting with locally owned boutique clothing, art and gourmet shops. If you choose to buy you next home or condo here, you’ll have lots shopping days a head of you. Every ethnic and cooking style is represented in the 100’s of Sarasota’s restaurants. Siesta Key Village its own flavor of local eateries as well the dozen or so great bistros around St Armands Circle. Walking around eating and shopping on a Sundays afternoon in shorts and sandals in February…. Doesn't’t that sound like a fun? Choosing Sarasota, Florida can be a great way to spend your retirement, watch your family grow up or start a career because we have everything to offer in a small, clean, friendly city that is warm year round. The Sarasota real estate market has many choices and whether you choose a small condo or a large estate home, you can be very happy here. I could be the Sarasota weather man October through May: The high today will be 65-75 and the lows tonight will be 55- 62 with an 20% chance of rain…. 50% humidity June - September: The high today will be 88-92 and the low tonight will be 75 with a 50% chance of rain … 90% humidity Nothing beats this warm subtropical climate we have in Sarasota. If your home or condo is close to the coast (almost everyone is) then you’ll enjoy our afternoon sea breeze that is our daily free air conditioning provided by the Gulf of Mexico. Just open up your homes or condos windows and enjoy that cooling sea breeze as it blows in off the Gulf every afternoon. Winter is our growing season here. Watch all of your flowers bloom and your landscaping plants get real happy in the winter except you lawn which only needs cutting once or twice a month. Watch homeowner restrictions when purchasing your new home or condo if you have dreamed about having your own orange, lemon, lime or grapefruit trees. Growing your own orange juice and making your own lemonade from your own trees is great but not allowed in all areas. So read the deed restrictions carefully if you’d like to grow a few fruit trees behind your new Florida home. You can beach, bike, walk, run, play golf, attend outside festivals, camp, fish, rollerblade, barbecue, swim, go shelling, pick strawberries, garden, have picnics, and everything else all winter long in Sarasota, Florida.
